Angela Wendt received the following awards for Rent: American Theatre Wing Henry Hewes Award (1996), Drama-Logue Award (1997), Italian Musical Theatre Design Award (2000). Nominations: Drama Desk Award (1996), Dora Mavor Moore Award (1998), National Broadway Theatre Awards (2001). Recent work (partial listing) – Musicals: The World Premiere of Amon Miyamoto’s Up in the Air at the Kennedy Center, Singin’ in the Rain directed by Ray Roderick at the Goodspeed Opera House for which she won the Connecticut Critics Circle Award (2007); Opera: World Premiere of A Flowering Tree by John Adams, directed by Peter Sellers in Vienna (New Crowned Hope Festival); Cabaret: At Least It’s Pink, directed by Michael Patrick King at Ars Nova and the annual “Karneval Hysteria” at Zum Schneider NYC; Feature Films: “Love Ludlow,” produced by Amy Hobby, Sundance Festival Audience Award. Angela Wendt teaches Costume Design at Parsons in NYC.
